Anaemia
Hyperbaric oxygen therapy is the approved method for treating anemia in minor and severe cases.
Anemia is a condition in which the tissues in the body don’t receive enough oxygen because of a loss or a deficiency of red blood cells. When oxygen delivery is compromised like this, it can lead to a range of symptoms and, potentially, cause permanent damage to the muscles, blood vessels, and other tissues. We can compensate for this and treat anemia with hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT).
Transfusions are a common treatment to restore red blood cells, but this isn’t always an option (for medical or religious reasons). In these cases, HBOT can be used to flood the system with oxygen and help the levels in the body’s tissues return to a normal level. This is true whether it’s a mild case of anemia or when there is sever oxygen depletion
What other conditions can HBOT help to treat?
